OSGM Invited To Present To Capital Joint Region Organisation (CRJO)'s meeting On 18th November
The presentation is about the potential for CRJO Councils achieve the outcomes in their Commununity Sustainability Plans, that are derived from the CRJO Regional Sustainability Plan.
The adoption of the OPL framework would deliver many benefits including a standardised means of developing sustainability action plans, and the link them across the CRJO so that there is a consistent plan across the area covered by the CRJO. The objective would be to take a phased approach to the implementation, based on the priorities of each LGA.

The incinerator technology is still an issue but the big thing for you to think about is, if this incinerator is built and operated in our shire, we will have Sydney's waste coming here indefinitely as there is no incentive to reduce / manage waste. hat means tourism will be down, local businesses will suffer and property prices will be down - not a lot to look forward to for us or our children".

GMC Cycle Path Program
- The Council's cycle path initative, the latest being around Victoria Park is most welcome and can only with eco-tourism. And linking that track up to the riverside walking/cycling track would be useful, in particular if the available shade along that track can be increased, as is already happening over the creek from Warrigal, behind Green Valley Road. Such a program could complement the Rail Trail initiative, but more immediately.
