- Adoption of One Planet Living Framework
- Circular/Sustainable Economy Standard - ISO5904-2024
- This project is being run by Leonie Martin of SustainableLedge an organisation that helps companies thrive by integrating financial growth with environmental responsibility. Links to more information that includes sustainability tips can be found below. A training course is planned. It is designed to be part of Business2580's CE project

https://www.linkedin.com/company/the-sustainableledger - The circular side is being promoted directy by OSGM through its membership of Business2580. The projects that OSGM is promoting include:-
- Marys Mount project phase 2 - urban sustainability, see below
- Eco and Agri Tourism - incorporating Wollondilly River Walk
- Local certification program in particular for businesses patronised by tourists, such cafes
- Nominated local promotion centres for locales, such as Marys Mount
- Coolowyn Rd/Uworra Close 20 Acres Urban Project (off Wheeo Road)
- Plans from Landscape Architect - Raina Emerson
- Landscape Design
- Water Flow Report
- Base-Line Survey
- Planting Program For Uworra Close -
- The second phase is now completed with the planting of trees along Uworra Close and the planting of biodiversity on the nature strip at the bottom of number 14's driveway. The planting is based on Raina Emerson's landscape plan (area 4) but with some variation, such as comprehensive mulching. The planting is designed to encourage mycorrhizal fungi to effect large scale carbon sequestration, as per the Wood-Wide Web. An application of the organic liquid fertiliser Food2Soil has been applied just to the plants and another such fertiliser will be applied across one half of the whole area to assess its effectiveness.
- summary of planting is:-
- 32 plants plus a Kurrajong sapling
- also will be planting 90 trees at the top right of the subdivision to manage the risk of flooding
- see photo of planting area:- img_4316.jpg
- phase 2 part 2 is now also completed and comprises a smaller planting up the driveway and just inside the front gateat 14 Uworra Close, across an are that is roughly 5x6 metres. It comprises a thock layer of mulch, two native seedlings, a maturing wattle and a small oak sapling.
- See before and after photos of the area:-
- Plans from Landscape Architect - Raina Emerson
- The next step is to repeated the above planting on a smaller scale around each mature tree along Coolowyn Road and Uworra Close.
- Marys Mount Planting (Creek Regeneration) Project
- Mulching Program
- comprehensive mulching has been completed on the Warrigal side of the plantings and now needs revisiting for a tidy-up
- there is a small amount of mulching left behind Green Valley Road
- there is some weeding and top-up muching needed in the section of the planting closest to the dog exercise area. (NB This is the location of the photos taken for the recent article in the Goulburn Post.
- NB comprehensive mulching has many benefits. For more information see:- https://www.precisiontreemn.com/tips/the-benefits-of-putting-mulch-around-your-trees.html.

- second planting report
- Ongoing Photopoint Monitoring Reports:-
- Mulching Program
- Marys Mount Urban Cooling Project
- With Phase 1 of the tree planting project completed, mulching excepted, we are now taking that regenration into urban area as phase 2 of the project. Phase 2 has commenced and is designed to:-
- cool houses, streets and driveways
- develop sustainable gardens, including vegetable patches.
- delivery organisations include:
- community groups
- commercial enterprises, including Raina Emerson Landscape Designs, a member of the G-M Community sustainability hub. Other partners include Mitre 10 and Gehl's Nursery.
- For more information use this link:- Sustainable Marys Mount
- With Phase 1 of the tree planting project completed, mulching excepted, we are now taking that regenration into urban area as phase 2 of the project. Phase 2 has commenced and is designed to:-
- Marys Mount Phase 3 - Large-Scale Rehydration & More Sustainable/Less Expensive Housing
- further stages of the Marys sustainability plan include restroration and, where possible, connection of water bodies
- use established regenerative frameworks, in particular for the above, in particular Permaculture to reduce the carbon footprint of houses and increase their ability to be self-sustaining
- reduce the use of concrete and increase the size of garden area
- group housing to reduce costs
- increased sizes of house blocks so that will moderate summer and winter temperatures
- Mycorrhizal Fungi Project

- Upper Lachlan - Large Scale Rural Regeneration
- This project is on a large farm - more information tba
- Regional Drought Resilience Program -
- At this stage OSGM has no direct involvement with this project, but the first phase of Marys Mount project, tree planting and second phase will support the project by generating further and clean water flows. This project comes from WaterNSW and is being run by The Mulloon Institute. Goulburn Mulwaree Landcare Landscapes is involved, but it is understood that they would need to apply to take part.
- Run-O-Waters - Sustainable Gardens and Houses
- This is a whole of suburb project similar to the one at Marys Mount, but the building of housing has mostly been completed. A very successful pilot started some time back at 166 Ducks Lane as a joint venture between the landowners and OSGM's parent, Community Voice For Hume and has been in the hands of the landowners entirely now for some time. See below for more information on that pilot. Finding an area to be put aside for First Nations use is a part of this project, that has been scoped at a high level.
